プロローグ
「喜多方レトロ満喫号」という、臨時快速に乗って、郡山から会津若松にやってきた
快速だけれども、指定席で満席だったなぁ
初めて磐越西線に乗ったんだ
I came to Aizuwakamatsu from Koriyama on a special rapid train called "Kitakata Retro MankitsuGo".
Although it was a fast train, it was full with reserved seats.
It was my first time riding the Banetsu West Line.
進行方向から左の席に座ったけど、右側の方がよかったなぁ
猪苗代湖はあまり見えず、磐梯山がよく見えたんだよなぁ
とっても楽しかった
I sat on the left side from the direction of travel, but the right side was better.
I couldn't see much of Lake Inawashiro, but I could see Mt. Bandai clearly.
It was so much fun
街の風景
鶴ヶ城
会津若松のお城は鶴ヶ城
とっても奇麗で壮大な城だなぁ
そして、お堀が美しい
The castle in Aizuwakamatsu is Tsuruga Castle
It's a very beautiful and magnificent castle.
And the moat is beautiful
白虎隊の悲劇は何となく聞いていたけど、実際に目の前にして感慨深いものがあったなぁ
歴史の悲劇は、悲しくもあり、美しくもある
情報が少ない世界で信じたものの為に戦う
I had vaguely heard about the tragedy of the Byakkotai, but it was very moving to actually witness it.
Tragedy in history is both sad and beautiful.
Fight for what you believe in in a world with little information
いいか悪いかわからないけど、その時代の視点で、純粋に生きるのは美しい
しかし、現代の視点で見たら悲しいのだ
時代の価値観は尊重したいと思った
I don't know if it's good or bad, but it's beautiful to live purely from the perspective of that era.
But from a modern perspective, it's sad.
I wanted to respect the values of the times.

帰りは、各駅停車でのんびり郡山まで戻ったよ
ローカルな旅も楽しいよね
On the way back, I took the local train to Koriyama and took it easy.
Local trips are fun too.
